Acne scars - micro needling can help you to get rid of them
In simple terms, acne scarring is the long lasting result of your skin’s trauma it has suffered whilst the inflammation was at it’s highest. Whenever the skin is damaged in any way, blood travels to the area carrying a mixture of the natural defences found within our own body. The body’s immediate response is to heal and prevent further issues in the way of infection from bacteria which can attack the wound.
Unfortunately, although our skin does invariably manage to heal itself, it often does so with scant regard to how it appeared in its former state. Once acne scars have formed, there are different ways of getting rid of them.
The most intense of treatments would certainly be surgical procedures which can be carried out either via plastic surgery, laser therapy or injections of collagen directly into the scar. These methods of course involve difficult procedures, skilled and trained individuals, and in the case of laser therapy in particular, very expensive equipment. Of course the cost of these treatments as a result is considerably more expensive than alternatives.
Simpler methods of treating acne scars include processes such as micro-dermabrasion, skin-needling and silicone sheets. These methods, can be often provided by beauty clinics and professionals, can be carried out at home successfully, at a much reduced cost. Often these simpler procedures can create as good a final result and usually do not require any time for recovery after treatment.
It is important that before choosing a method of treating any acne scar, that research is done into each of the alternatives so the optimum balance can be made between all of the advantages and disadvantages. It is also worth baring in mind the recovery period, the length of time various treatments take as well as any potential downsides.
It is essential to consult your doctor before going ahead with any type of medical procedure. Do not act upon any advice based soley upon this site.
