Often eye makeup tips put too heavy a focus on glamour. I know, I know – it’s hard to imagine. Since when can you have too much glamour? But sometimes with eye makeup, less is more. You can’t wear that club smoky eye look to work. At least, you probably shouldn’t.

However, less eye makeup does not have to mean that your eyes are boring. You can get many of the same effects with less makeup for everyday wear. In fact, some of these tactics are downright speedy and could save you some serious time. This tip cut my eye makeup time from 7 minutes to 45 seconds.

One of the biggest things that people want to accomplish with eye makeup is to accentuate their eyes. Making your eyes bigger is the best way to do this with everyday makeup. Use these simple eye makeup tips to make your eyes look bigger even if you do not want to look like you are wearing much (or any) makeup.

You will need a golden toned eye shadow and a darker tone like brown or bronze. The colors should complement your skin tones. They can be reflective if you like but should not have large particles of glitter. This look is perfect for products like Loreal’s “Wear Infinite” Holographic line.

1. Put on the light eye shadow up to your brow. This will give you a smooth skin tone and brighten your eye area.

2. Use the darker eye shadow to make a thick, smudged line in the crease of your eye. You are basically going to draw a thick semi-circle over your eye. This darker shades results in a wider, brighter look when your eyes are open.

Now you’re all done. Enjoy your new, brighter look. You can also dress up this look with a blue or purple semi circle and a pink back tone. You might also try different tones on the lid below the semi circle. If you want to make this look pop for evening, then try a bright eye liner or thin line of eye shadow along the very top of the lid. Use these eye makeup tips to get bright, enormous eyes.
