Finding an Eczema Treatment
Since eczema can be hereditary it is often very hard to cure, which often triggers questions such as “Why me?” So how to find out if perhaps you have a natural predisposition for eczema? Very often home remedies for eczema can be quite odd, but these remedies have been tried and tested for years and have proven themselves to work. Why do these treatments work? It would take years of scientific study to find an answer to this question, as well as lots of money and it is certain that pharmaceutical industry does not want to invest in such an endeavor.
Or you can do what I did, which is take charge of your disease and beat it once and for all. About 20 years ago I was first diagnosed with atopic eczema. Of course, if you are experiencing eczema then you probably know how the story goes. I came home with little red circles on my legs and arms and need eczema treatments. Some of the sensitivity may have been due to applying the cortisone creams as they do thin the skin. This process was repeated many times and each time a new version of steroid treatment was prescribed and each time my eczema got better and then came back again.
Eczema in simple terms can be said to be an allergy that affects the outer layer of the skin. However, medical allergies are believed to be the major trigger of this condition. Sudden climatic changes, using harsh soaps or detergents and wearing synthetic clothing materials like wool. Eczema symptoms will normally include the following; the skin becomes dry, reddish and scaly, swells, itches then a burning sensation and pricking pain follows.
Usually the relief is temporary and somewhat minimal. I recommend something completely different. And using a steroid cream or any cream for that matter is only geared toward symptoms. Turns out there was something in my house that was causing my eczema to occur. I was shocked that for 28 years I had been dealing with eczema all because of my environment.
