Studies have revealed that up to 70% of toxic chemicals from typical Australian skin care products are being absorbed into your skin. Today we are faced with chemicals in almost eeverything we use today. They are in our homes, food, skincare and even in the air we breathe,
have you ever stopped to think what this may be doing to your health. Some chemicals don’t break down in the body and over time start taxing vital organs such as your liver and kidney which results in a weakening of the immune system which  makes you more susceptible to sensitivities, allergies, chronic illness and the more common colds and flu

It is no surprise that with day to day exposure to these harmful chemicals more and more people, specifically children are
experiencing these ailments at an alarming rate.

It is advisable to take a look at the contents on your daily skincare products for example, how many of these can you actually pronounce!
There is no law to say what these manufacturers can put into their products, opening us up to a wide range of petrochemicals,
sodium lauryl sulphates, synthetic fragrances, and the list goes on.

HOW TO MAKE THE CHANGE
Make the effort to source natural skin care products from Australian sources, you can find these in your health food shops, online and
occasionally in your local pharmacy, however be sure to check the contents, just because it says it’s NATURAL on the label it doesn’t
mean it is!

Choose Australian skincare treatments that are environmentally friendly, such as recyclable packaging, cosmetics made from locally sourced ingredients, and  creams and lotions that are free from PALM OIL, in many cases this is an unsustainable vegetable oil, causing devastating effects on our forests and wildlife.Try to use products with minimal ingredients and that use pure essential oils rather than fragrances. Essential oils are not only great for your skin, but can enhance your mood and well-being. If you have sensitive skin, fresh Goats milk products are an excellent choice as they contain many vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A,  Amino acids, proteins, anti-oxidants and lactic acids which all help to protect the skins natural PH balance.

If we all make the change and choose natural and environmentally friendly products we are not only benefiting our health but paving the way
for a more natural and sustainable environment for our children.
