Ask any woman and they will tell you that hands are a nightmare to keep looking fresh and youthful and need to be treated very kindly. Most people however are clueless when it comes to hand care and not only mistreat them but do not take steps to repair them if they are damaged. Follow the advice below to save your hands and keep them young.

Moisturiser. This simple technique is the most effective of all, and yet not enough people do it right. Firstly you need to buy the right moisturisers for your skin. If you have oily skin then use light skin care products, and if you skin tends to dry, you’ll want a rich one. Try to apply moisturiser as many times as you can throughout the day. When you come out of the cold, before sleep, when you wake etc. Over a long period of time your hands will look a great deal better than they would have done if you hadn’t moisturised

Hands need protection. One of the most common ways that you hands start to look older is when they pick up scratches, grazes and all sorts of other injuries. Wearing gloves as much as possible will help protect them and this should especially be done when performing tasks such as gardening, cleaning, washing up etc. There are a whole host of chemicals that are harmful to the skin in cleaning products and if you can keep these away from skin, it’ll thank you for it.

Manicures. Treating yourself to a manicure can very easily jazz up your hands and get them looking fresh again. Having cuticles and nails that are in a bad way will make your hands look like old and tired very easily. If you get a hand massage as part of you manicure than this is even better as it tones the skin and muscles of the hand whilst removing dead cells also.
