Microdermabrasion is a cosmetic procedure that is becoming more and more popular.  It isn’t even a surgical procedure.  It is, in fact, a minor ordeal in comparison to cosmetic surgeries and other procedures which achieve very similar results.

The procedure was developed as a non-invasive method of minimizing the appearance of wrinkles and lines in the face.  It can fade scars and sunspots.  Some users have even eliminated some of them altogether.  It also stimulates faster production of collagen which helps to de-age the look of skin.

A gentle abrasive is used during the procedure to scrub off the layers of dead cells on the skin’s surface.  Oxide micro crystals do this job in the in-office procedure.  A small, wand-like tool “blasts” the skin with the crystals while at the same time “vacuuming” up loosened dead skin.

One entire session can be performed in an office in an hour or less. It’s relatively inexpensive when compared to other cosmetic procedures which accomplish the same results.

Even so, many busy people don’t have time for in-office treatments from a professional. Plus, more than one treatment is often necessary to achieve desired results.  Additionally, periodic regular follow-up treatments may be needed in order to maintain those results.)  And although it’s comparatively inexpensive, it’s still too cost prohibitive for some people. In cases like these, Microdermabrasion at home can be an excellent time and money-saving alternative to professional, in-office treatments.

Home use systems have been designed for self-treatment which are both safe and effective.  The Nubrilliance system (you can see Nubrilliance reviews online) and others allow you to treat yourself conveniently at home.  A high-quality system will actually provide results that are difficult to distinguish from a professional one.  Not only do they provide comparable results, but they are often considerably cheaper than in-office treatments.
