Scary Halloween Looks Using Traditional Make Up
With Halloween only a few days away many people may be going to parties and wondering what makeup to buy to create a great frightening look to scare off your friends. However normally people use powders and face paints but with every day make up you can still get that scary but super sexy vamp or goth look too. Remember Halloween doesn’t have to be all about ghouls and ghosts either but here are a few tips to create a great Halloween look using traditional make up.
To create that evileye look you could try brushing white make up powder all over your eyes and brows and then apply some black eye shadow all over and around your eyelids and gently blend this out. Finish off the eyes with black [mascara]. Following these simple steps will make your eyes look like they are empty black holes, great for a ghostly look or a scary Goth vampire. Using black [lipstick] is also another great idea and if you want that blood effect on the side of your mouth red lipstick is definitely a winner. Black nail polish is a must for any ghost or ghoul. Coupled with your Halloween outfit you will look terrific and the great thing is if you wear makeup day to day you will already have these products in your makeup bag so you will not have to fork out extra cash either. Give the kids the face paints.
This kind of look with a few tweaks would also work fantastically well if you are thinking of copying a movie villain such as heath ledger’s Joker look too or maybe Voldemort from the Harry Potter movies. Also the new Saw 3D movie is being released this weekend across the UK so if you like blood guts and gore you can be even more imaginative with your Halloween look. A few simple props will also come in really useful such as a wig, vampire teeth and a fake nose too. If you do not like make up or youare not confident how to apply it you could always buy a Halloween mask but this surely takes all the fun out of it?
