Winter Skin Care Tips

In this record breaking freezing condition of the Germany skin can be affected by the cold. Winter can make even moisturised skin dry. We have convinced ourselves with wearing layers of clothes we can protect our skin from cold conditions. That is not correct as we have to moisturise our skin in winter as well as other seasonal period to keep our skin moisturised and in good condition. Here are some advice on what you can do to protect your skin in winter.

Consume at least 3 to 4 litres of water so that your skin do not get dehydrated as it is the biggest organ in our body. Consuming lots of water keeps our skin moisturised. When we do exercise or play sports we lose a lot of water through our skin as a sweat it is very imporant to drink lots of water to replace the water we have lost through any activities we do throughout the day.

Apply creams and lotions in your skin before going to bed. We apply creams throughout the day or before we go to work but sometimes we forget to apply it at nights. Applying cream at night is very important because we do a lot of activities during the day time by which we lose moisture in our skin. when your feet starts getting dry and cracking then your skin is not consuming enough moisture as it should be.

Use humidifiers in your homes as air in the winter can get very dry. As in the Winter we like to turn the heater on quite a bit this can cause dryness to the skin along with nasal passages, as you will notice the dry blood coming out of your nasal everytime you blow. Hence add a bit of moisture in the air, for that all you need is humidifiers in Germany we call it luftbefeuchter.

Have shower with cold water. I know we all want to shower in hot water in freezing condition but it does not do any good to our skin, use cool water for shower so that it does not let our skin dry.
