Silicone implants can sometimes crease or wrinkle which can cause visible distortion to the breast. Some people believe saline implants don’t feel as “natural” as silicone implants. Saline implants have been known to completely deflate, in which case a replacement implant would be required. They also have a greater risk of leaking than silicone implants. However, saline is absorbed by the body very quickly as it is a harmless, biocompatible substance.
