Visiting a health spa for a day in unquestionable one of most enjoyable experiences anyone can treat themselves to. There are some factors though that you should look into before you head off for your special day. These are the ones that are most important and make the biggest difference:

Location. Getting the location of the spa right is imperative. You don’t want to be travelling too far as it will mean leaving early and then worrying about getting back at the end of the day. Ideally you want to find a place that doesn’t take a vast amount of time to get to but still makes you feel like its a little trip away. You should also consider if the spa is in town or in the country and whether or not it is close to other facilities such as a food outlet or park.

Treatment. Almost every spa offers a different range of spa treatments. Most will have the basics like massage, facials, manicures etc, but they often have their own variations and signature treatments. You should contact all the Spas that you might possible go to and ask that they send you their details brochure. This will allow you to directly compare what is on offer, look at which skin care products they use and make the best informed decision.

Reviews/testimonials. Most spas tend to be of quite a high standard, although there are definitely some dodgy ones out there as well. You cannot really establish how well the place is run or how good the treatments are by visiting the website or reading their brochure.  You should instead give them a call and ask them about what they offer. If they are polite on the phone and know what they are talking about then its a good indication the spa will be high quality. It is also useful to try and find testimonials or reviews, which can often be found somewhere on the Internet
