As soon as winter starts to disappear many people’s thoughts turn to summer. The weather will be warm and you’ll be able to shed your winter clothing and enjoy that sun.

However as you peel off your winter woollies you might not like what you see. There’s no doubt that the food we like to eat during winter is more calorific than summer food and it’s easy to pile on the pounds. So it’s no surprise that many of us need to lose a few pounds to start looking good again.

Luckily a change to a more healthy less fattening diet will do wonders. And the improving weather will allow you to get out and about and burn off some more calories. Before you know it you’ll be slimming down nicely.

Hidden from daylight and air for much of the winter, a lot of our skin has a neglected look by the time spring arrives. A regime of skin cream and exfoliation will get it looking a lot brighter although you may still look a little pasty.

To get round this you could use a fake tanning lotion to give you a bit more of a healthy glow. It can, however, be a somewhat messy process and this why some people prefer to use a sunbed to get a tan. If you do this then make sure you use a good quality sunbed lotion to protect your skin while you tan.

With all those layers of winter clothing hair removal often gets neglected during the colder months. There are not many women who are happy to have bare hairy legs when it is summer. Having to keep removing unwanted hair is extremely tiresome and time-consuming so using one of the permanent hair removal methods may suit you better. Removal methods such as laser treatment take several sessions spread out over weeks and months.

For those who are looking for cheaper methods of removing hair then creams, waxing, razors or depilation are your best options. Some people like the quickness and cheapness of shaving while others don’t like the fact it has to be done so often and will choose a longer lasting but more painful method like waxing.

Before you know it you’ll be looking good and will be walking out in that summer sun feeling good about you and your body.
